Hi there! I'm a Chicago based songwriter, actor, teaching artist, writer, director, science enthusiast and whatever else life throws at me. I believe meaningful stories are found in unexpected places.
Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, I graduated from Michigan State University with a BFA in Theatre. While there, I worked throughout Michigan with companies that include The Michigan Shakespeare Festival, Williamston Theatre, and Tipping Point Theatre. Since moving to Chicago, I have acted with Lifeline Theatre, First Folio Theatre, Oil Lamp Theater, The Factory Theater and others. In 2018, I moved to Osaka, Japan for a year to realize my dream of attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as a performer at Universal Studios Japan. Since coming back, I've spent every waking moment yearning for convenience store rice balls and plum flavored potato chips. I've been writing songs since I was a kid, but I started in earnest in the summer of 2017 with The Tragical Ballad of Jeremy, the Left Twisting Snail. Since then, I've written several songs of my own and co-adapted the original musical Shrew'd! with David Rice and Christopher Kriz based on The Taming of the Shrew. Shrew'd! premiered at First Folio Theatre in July 2018. I'm happiest when walking along Lake Michigan in the mornings or out hiking in the woods. |
